la confiteria

last week, I was giving a talk and a short workshop to some students of idep superior art school in a bar called "la confiteria". it's an old marmalade store very "drawable".

the first challenge was to fit the table with all of us in a page:

than to portrait each other and portrait the surrounding, elements of the bar, cups of coffee…

I finally received my copy of "the art of urban sketching", thanks gabi, it's gorgeous!
I love the design, and from what I already read, it's full of tips and secrets from most of the urban sketchers of the blog. a must have!!

yesterday, while I was sketching the tàpies installation in passeig de picasso, a journalist of the barcelona's newspaper "la vanguardia" passed by and we talked a few.
you could imagine my surprise when I rad the newspaper this morning…

having a meeting this morning close to the "fundació antoni tàpies", I than join the crowd to pay homage to the artist.
