enola gay
I did not know how to feel in front of "enola gay", the B-29 super fortress that dropped the first atomic weapon on hiroshima the 6th of august 1945. this big bird is lost into the multitude of planes in the museum, a short note telling its mission. I was shocked that most of the visitors were passing in front of it without any consideration - its place would be perhaps more appropriate in a memorial…

a spaceship for real!
I sketch my first spaceship, it's like a child dream, yeah!
and discovery is not just a spaceship, it's the space shuttle that made the most earth-orbital missions, and spent a total of 365 days in space.
it's big, its skin is a mess of small pieces full of numbers, geometrical signs, textures… it looks like a handmade over scale model.
and how the hell could it fly back to earth, it's as aerodynamic as an iron.
anyway, I could have spent days and days sketching it, but the smithsonian air and space museum of washington dc was full of many other cool or legendary stuff - soon some more!
sketchcrawl with the nyc sketchers
I was lucky to sketch with some of the urban sketchers in nyc during my trip there last month.
we met on the high line in chelsea, which give a great view above the streets of manhattan's west side across a floating garden.
I love the advice that danielle gave me ;)
thanks veronica for making it happen!
by the way, it was great to meet greg for his birthday, cheers!
